As the small town of Germantown began to explode in the 1960s and 1970s the city fathers determined that a forward thinking “city hall” that could grow with the city and establish a contemporary atmosphere in a traditional style of architecture with an interior “people street” and spaces for public use as well as the various spaces needed for the growing City. The second phase of the facility completed the original design aspects and still serves the city well in the 2020s.
